Con artists, grifters, hustlers, imposters and scammers are the focus of Jigsaw Productions: Generation Hustle, a 10-part HBO Max anthology that profiles the most brilliant and brazen young individuals, some of whom go too far by pulling off the most wildly inventive scams of our time.

Each of the standalone episodes offer a fresh and concise take on the various crimes or acts of deception committed by Anna Sorokin (aka Anna Delvey), the Hollywood Con Queen and scam-rap artist Teejayx6. The series also dives into the fascinating rise and fall of WeWork, an attempt to create the “Silicon Valley of the East” and a frat boy’s failed Ponzi scheme.

It’s about money on the surface, but in most cases, it’s money as the starting point where it becomes about something bigger and deeper and more complicated. Maybe it’s identity, maybe it's class, maybe it’s status or maybe it’s just wanting to be somebody you’re not.
